Hi, I’m Nikki Baker.
Maybe life feels a little overwhelming right now.
Maybe you’re carrying things that feel hard to talk about.
Or maybe you simply feel a bit lost and want space to figure things out.
Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to face it alone.
Counselling offers a space that is just for you. A place where you can talk openly, explore what’s going on in your life, and feel truly heard without judgement.
There’s no expectation to have everything figured out. Sometimes the hardest step is simply starting the conversation.
Who I AM
Prof Dip Therapeutic Counselling Practice (NCPS Accredited).
Nikki offers a warm, supportive and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. She believes that being truly heard and understood can be a powerful part of healing and personal growth.
Nikki is neurodivergent herself, which gives her a personal understanding of how overwhelming, fast-paced, or intense the inner world can sometimes feel. She has a strong interest in how neurodivergence can shape emotions, identity, and relationships, and brings both professional and lived experience into her work.
Working from an integrative approach, Nikki draws on a range of therapeutic models including Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This allows her to adapt the way she works to suit each individual client, recognising that every person and each story is unique.
Nikki has experience working with adults facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Her work is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience.
Alongside her counselling work, Nikki has a background in the technology sector and a strong interest in neurodiversity and mental wellbeing in modern life. She is passionate about creating spaces where people can feel safe to explore who they are and what they need.
Her aim is to provide a calm, non-judgemental environment where you can talk openly, gain insight, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and meaningful.
My Approach
Counselling is not about being given answers or being told what to do. It’s about creating a space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences safely and at your own pace.
I believe that when we feel truly heard and understood, we begin to see ourselves and our lives more clearly. From there, change, growth and healing can start to unfold naturally.
My role is to walk alongside you in that process, offering support, curiosity and understanding as you explore what matters most to you.
A space to be heard
Sometimes the most powerful thing is simply having a place where you can speak openly without fear of judgement.
In our sessions, you are free to bring whatever is on your mind; your thoughts, feelings, worries, experiences or questions. There is no expectation to have everything figured out.
Together we can explore what is happening in your life and what you might need moving forward.
WORKING TOGETHER
I work from an integrative approach, drawing on Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
This means our work can adapt to you. Every person’s story is different, and therapy should reflect that.
My aim is to support you in developing greater self-understanding, building resilience, and finding ways of living that feel more balanced and meaningful.
